At WorldShine Adult Medical Day Care’s Beltsville Center, we are always finding creative and engaging activities for our members. One of the fun activities we’ve introduced is learning to tie a foulard—a lightweight scarf, often made of silk or a similar soft fabric. Foulards come in a variety of colors and patterns and are a stylish way to add a personal touch to any outfit.
The activity allows our members to experiment with different ways to wear the foulard around their neck, whether it’s for warmth, style, or simply for fun. Tying a foulard is a great way to practice fine motor skills and coordination while enjoying a relaxing, social experience.
Members of all skill levels can participate in this activity, as it is simple, flexible, and easy to adapt. It’s also a wonderful way to promote creativity and individuality, as each person can choose how they prefer to tie their foulard to express their unique style.
Whether worn casually or for a special occasion, foulards are versatile accessories that add elegance and flair to any outfit. After learning how to tie foulards, our members can incorporate them into their daily lives and discover their personal fashion preferences.
